DESCRIPTION AND CHARACTERISTICS OF A BIOLOGICAL PROCESS
The system MBR replace the process of sedimentation, filtration and disinfection, and suspended solids removing them with one membrane of ultrafiltration.
The only chemicals used are in the process for conservation and cleaning of the membrane and It is sodium hypochlorite disolted 20 times form a commercial solution of 15 %.
The ultrafiltration membranes let to work with one level of solids between 10 and 15 grams per liter.
The MBR system produce an effluent quality constant regardless of the input flow, work with levels (type batch).
It provides a vey effective treatment for high valve according with the regulations of title 22 California, the valve are:
DBO 5 < 10 mg/l
SS < 5 mg/l
It’s a biological system with total oxidation stages of nitrification and desnitrification.
Comparing with conventional biological system comprising pretreatment biological treatments, sedimentation, filtration and sterilization, on this system only we use a pretreatment and a biological reactor with membranes.
Allows the separation solid-liquid through ultrafiltration membranes of 0,05 microns.
The systems of the aeration and the oxygen consumption is the same comparing with conventional system.
The membranes retain all kind of bacteria, funghis viruses, parasites and further to clarify the water until 99,99 %.
Don’t produce problems of bulking in the absence of the sedimentation.
The sludge age is far that one conventional system, allowing to obtain treated water in a good quality which can be reused.
The cleaning of the membranes is automatic using coarse bubble air injected, in the button of the membrane or including chemicals for cleaning the membrane.
